Smalltown is Feeding on Itself

Mark Jenkins made an observation today that was an "aha moment" for us: Smalltown has entered an interesting cycle in which our sites are feeding on themselves. The cycle goes something like this:

1. We kick start a local Smalltown site using our technology to pre-load a new site with good content before we do a public launch.

2. After we launch a new site, businesses and people in the community use our tools to create rich, viral content in the form of Webcards.

3. The rich content attracts more visitors.

4. More visitors leads to more rich content.

5. More rich content leads to more visitors.

6. Repeat steps 4 and 5.

This is more than just basic Web 2.0 principles at work. The cycle is powered by how easy it is to make and change Webcards, because the longer a Smalltown site is up and running, the better the content gets.
